YooHoo Social exists to support the Radical Faeries community; a space for queer people and allies to connect, organise gatherings, and share resources. We believe communities thrive when people feel safe, seen, and respected. These guidelines help us create that environment, both online and at in-person gatherings.
We welcome people of all backgrounds, identities, and expressions. Open communication, creativity, and genuine connection are at the heart of what we do.
We ask everyone in our community to:
The following will not be tolerated on the platform or at gatherings:
In-person gatherings are a core part of our community, and additional expectations apply. Participants should practise harm reduction and respect community agreements around substance use. Everyone is responsible for their own health, safety, and belongings. If you witness or experience something that makes you uncomfortable, please speak with a facilitator or contact us directly.
Our moderators and gathering facilitators apply proportionate responses based on the severity and context of each situation:
A private warning with an explanation of why the behaviour was inappropriate.
Content removal, temporary suspension from the platform, or exclusion from a gathering.
Permanent ban from the platform, immediate removal from a gathering without refund, and exclusion from future events.
Reports are handled confidentially. We aim to acknowledge reports within 24 hours and resolve them within 7 days.
You can report issues by emailing [protected email], or by speaking directly to a gathering facilitator if you're at an event.
If you believe a moderation decision was made in error, you can appeal by emailing [protected email]. Appeals are reviewed by a different person than the one who made the original decision.
We may update this Code of Conduct as our community evolves. Significant changes will be announced on the platform and communicated to registered users. If you have questions or suggestions, contact us at [protected email].
